Mr. Artur Stratan graduated from the University of Oil and Gas, Faculty of Well Drilling and Oil and Gas Field Exploitation in Ploiesti, and attended courses at OMV Solutions, HR Management & Consulting, Management Development Institute, and OMV Step 2 Success in Vienna and OMV Step 2 Excellence Program at the IMD Institute in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Mr. Stratan has 38 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, holding management and regional and global coordination positions at OMV Petrom. He has led multi-disciplinary negotiations for OMV Petrom with a view to expanding its onshore and offshore interests, and contributed to projects to streamline the portfolio of deposits and define the portfolio optimization strategy for the period 2013-2020.

Mr. Stratan has skills in business development, commercial, stakeholder relations, public and government relations, establishment and management of joint ventures, and consulting on energy and natural gas acquisition/sale strategy.

Between 2014 and 2018, he served as chairman and member of the Steering Committee of the Romanian Petroleum Exploration and Production Companies Association (ROPEPCA) and was deeply involved in critical negotiations and discussions with industry players, authorities, state and government institutions, and all stakeholders in the Romanian oil industry on taxes, tax regimes, oil legislation, laws and regulations, norms, and standards.
