Mr. Ionel Bucur holds a degree in engineering, thermophysics, power plants, and nuclear installations, a doctorate in engineering sciences, and numerous international specializations in nuclear energy.
Mr. Ionel Bucur has over 40 years of experience in the nuclear industry, reactor physics, nuclear installations and systems, and nuclear asset management, beginning his career as a trainee engineer in 1979 at CSEN Bucharest, Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant, and holding – throughout his career, positions as a specialist engineer, as well as management and senior management positions as Director of Cernavoda NPP Unit 1, Director of the Cernavoda NPP Branch (Units 1 and 2) and Deputy General Manager of SN Nuclearelectrica SA, as well as twice a member of the boards of directors of SNN and Energonuclear..
