Nuclearelectrica SA (\u201cSNN\u201d) informs that on January 21<sup>st<\/sup>, 2018, staring 07:30 HRS, Cernavoda NPP will reduce power of Unit 2 with 27% (approximately 200 MWh) in order to ensure the working conditions for the remediation of an incipient defect to one of the process systems within the classical part of Unit 2.<\/p>\n<p>The power reduction duration will be of approximately 16 hours, the reactor being maintained connected to the National Energy System throughout this time.<\/p>\n<p>The remediation workings and the power reduction will not have a negative impact on the personnel, population and environment, the activities being conducted in compliance with the specific procedures of the power plant.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Cosmin Ghita<\/p>\n<p>Chief Executive Officer<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Press release Bucharest, January 19th, \u00a02018 &nbsp; S.N.
