Nuclearelectrica SA announces that Cernavoda NPP Unit 2 operates at nominal power starting the evening of January 21<sup>st<\/sup>, 2018, 22:15 HRS.<\/p>\n<p>Cernavoda NPP Unit 2 power was reduced on the morning of January 21<sup>st<\/sup>, 2018 by 27%, this power reduction being necessary in order to ensure the proper working conditions for remediation workings to one of the process systems within the classical part of Unit 2.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the duration of the remediation workings in the classical part of Unit 2, the unit remained connected to the National Energy System, operating at a power level of cca 500 MWe.<\/p>\n<p>The remediation workings and power reduction had no negative impact on the personnel, population and environment, these being performed in compliance with the specific procedures of the nuclear power plant.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Cosmin Ghita<\/p>\n<p>Chief Executive Officer<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0Press release Bucharest, January 21st, 2018 \u00a0 \u00a0 S.N.
