Nuclearelectrica SA (\u201cSNN\u201d) announces that Cernavoda NPP\u2019s Unit 1 was re-connected to The National Power Grid on 24.09.2019, 21:31 hours, after the completion of the remediation works.<\/p>\n<p>Unit 1 was shutdown in a controlled manner on 18.09.2019 in the morning for the execution of remediation works of some leakages (minor cooling agent leakage) in the primary heat transfer system of Unit\u2019s 1 reactor.<\/p>\n<p>According to Cernavoda NPP\u2019s specific procedures, the remediation works imposed in compliance with the design of the power plant require a controlled shut down.<\/p>\n<p>The controlled shutdown had no adverse impact on the nuclear safety, personnel, population and environment, the remediation works being executed in accordance with the procedures applicable in such cases.<\/p>\n<p>Cosmin Ghi\u0163\u0103<\/p>\n<p>Chief Executive Officer<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>S.N.
