Reconnection of Unit 1 of the Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant to the National Power Grid

 Bucharest, July 5, 2026

SN Nuclearelectrica SA announces that Cernavoda NPP Unit 1 was reconnected to the National Energy System in the morning of 05.07.2026, after the completion of the planned outage program. 

During the planned outage, activities from the following programs were performed:

– Preventive Maintenance Program;

– Corrective Maintenance Program;

– Inspection Program;

– Mandatory testing program during the planned outage period;

– Project Change Implementation Program.

The works related to the planned outage program were carried out in safe conditions for the plant personnel, the public and the environment, according to the approved procedures used at CNE Cernavodă.
